Blorenge Books
Blorenge Books is a small publishing business which takes its name from the Blorenge Mountain near Abergavenny. At the foot of the Blorenge is the village of Llanfoist, where the author Chris Barber came to live in 1979. He established Blorenge Books six years later and the first publication was a walking guide entitled ‘Cordell Country’. This was written as a tribute to Alexander Cordell and relates to the history and landscape in which his famous novel ‘Rape of the Fair Country’ was set.
‘Cordell Country’ is currently out of print, but a new expanded edition will be published some time in the future.
Blorenge Books are proud to be the current publishers of Alexander Cordell’s best-selling novel ‘Rape of the Fair Country’. The new editions of this book has a beautiful covers which has been designed by the Abergavenny artist Michael Blackmore and will undoubtedly become a collector’s item.
